Outspoken Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, is elated at President Nana Akufo-Addo’s choice of new Chief Justice.
According to him, his confidence in the judiciary has been restored with Chief Justice nominee, Justice Anin-Yeboah at the helm of affairs.
“I had lost hope in the judiciary but with this new Chief Justice, I’m confident now because I know many things will change,” he said on Accra-based Net 2 Television, monitored by Adomonline.com.
President Akufo-Addo on Thursday, December 12, 2019, nominated Justice Anin-Yeboah as the next Chief Justice subject to Parliamentary approval.
His nomination has been received very well by many who describe him as a very neutral and principled judge.
In support, Mr Agyapong said he has followed the work of Justice Anin-Yeboah and is more than confident he will deliver.
“I know Justice Anin-Yeboah very well; he will bring a lot of reforms to the judiciary which has integrity deficit,” the Assin Central MP said.
