The cover of Ghana’s most wanted criminal who specializes in stealing vehicles and selling them to unsuspecting customers is full after he was arrested but has since jumped bail.
According to the Kwabenya Police in the Greater Accra Region, osei Yaw Akoto Bediako in his mid 30s has succeeded in stealing over 40 of such vehicles in just one year
Police disclosed to MyNewsGh.com that his modus operandi is to go to car rental companies and rent a car. He then with the aid of his accomplice at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), forge the documents of the car and sell it to unsuspecting victims.
“He was arrested and put before the Kwabenya circuit court and was granted bail but has jumped bail. He is suspected to be hiding around Adenta, East Legon, Westland and Kumasi. He is also an addicted gamblers”, police revealed.
Meanwhile, more persons who have fallen victim to his criminal activities are said to be lodging complaints at various police stations throughout the country while police investigators disclosed that there are efforts to track him and his accomplices down.
