The information reaching Broadcast Ghana has it that President Nana Akufo Addo was embarrassed as a result of light out which is termed in our local parlance as ‘dumsor’.
The President was present at the NPP General Secretary John Boadu’s birthday party and as the revelers were throwing a party the unfortunate incident of light out occurred and the attendees allegedly had to resort to the use of their phones torchlight to get the President out of the scene.
Broadcast Ghana’s news team also gathered that the birthday party which was organized at the General Secretary’s plush Nanakrom mansion had not only President Akufo-Addo but also other top officials of the government and the NPP in attendance.

A media report has it that the misfortune, however, hit the party when the ‘dumsor’ announced its presence despite the numerous claims by President Akufo-Addo and his government that they had permanently solved it. In a desperate attempt to put on a standby generator proved futile as the plant turned faulty. This led to loud murmuring among the attendees who were obviously embarrassed by the situation and had to leave the scene.
