Hon. Ursula Owusu who’s Ghana’s incumbent communication minister has hinted that taxing on mobile money transactions will soon be introduced.
In an interview with Osei Bonsu, Host of Asempa FM’s ‘Ekosiisen talkshow’ She posited that the ministry is taking steps to begin taxing Mobile Money transactions soon.
According to the minister, the ministry is in talks with telecommunication companies in the country to pave way for the implementation of the policy.
“Mobile Money taxation is on our radar and we are monitoring and very soon you’ll hear of us in no time but as it stands it’s not been taxed”, she said.
