According to the latest FIFA Coca Cola world football rankings released on Thursday October 24, Nigeria's Super Eagles coached by Gernot Rohr are now the 35th ranked national team in the world.
Nigeria rated the 34th best team in the world following their international friendly against Ukraine which ended 2-2. Instead of climbing up, the Super Eagles slumped down to 35th in the world but are still third on the African continent behind 20th ranked Senegal and 29th ranked Tunisia, despite an impressive 1-1 draw against Brazil earlier this month
The top four in the world is made up of Belgium followed by France, Brazil and England.
Algeria (38th), Morocco (42nd), Egypt (49th), Ghana (51st), Cameroon (52nd), Congo DR (54th) and Côte d'Ivoire (56th) complete the top ten teams in Africa in that order.
Nigeria last won the Nations Cup in 2013 and is one of Africa's most revered national teams.
