The President of Winneba Is King Movement, James Kofi Annan said he never wrote a letter apologizing to Afenyo-Markin, asking him for forgiveness for forming the Winneba is King movement and for making insensitive comments about him in the airwaves.
A letter circulating in the media, purporting to have been written by James Kofi Annan suggested that he (James) is remorseful of his conduct against Afenyo-Markin for which he rendered an apology.
Meanwhile James Kofi Annan in a letter denied ever writing such an apology letter to Afenyo-Markin and stated that everything in the letter, including the letterhead used, "is fake."
He has however given those who wrote the said fake letter up to the close of Monday, July 22, 2019, to retract the said letter in its entirety, and to apologize to him (James) .
He also indicated that he remains committed to the cause of Winneba Is King movement, and "until the last ballot is counted, and declared, and signed, I remain committed to the liberation agenda."
